Destroyed by Fire, VV Correspondent Helps Dalit Man Resurrect His Life

 

Video Volunteers community correspondent Anil Kumar Saroj has been working with marginalised communities for a very long time now. In this episode of Fixing India, we see how he helped Ramlal, a man belonging to the musahar community from Uttar Pradesh receive compensation.

The road towards receiving the compensation amounting to about 8 lakhs towards relief and rehabilitation of Ramlal wasn't an easy one. Anil struggled for more than 8 months to get all government IDs destroyed by fire, reissued so that Ramlal could encash the compensation cheque released by the local district magistrate's office.
